Trackpad2trackball is a program that I made just because there are no good programs to make a trackpad act like a trackball. Right now it only has a tui and I don’t have any plans to add a gui. I would personally say it’s pretty good and I recommend you check it out if you use or daily drive a laptop as this saves the effort of moving your fingers a lot to move the mouse quickly. The program is a command line application where you run the command and add any attributes you want. Currently there is only friction so you can set how much friction you want for your “trackball” and it will apply so when you let go of the trackpad the mouse will continue accelerating in the last direction until it is either stopped by you or friction.
